Lynch is misclassified

In The Day of the Jackal (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, although it is an older model. Graham Norton also mentions guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). TLDR: Redmayne nails it.

It was performed by a more experienced actor

Unfortunately, the wires are not aligned with each other, which detracts from an otherwise spectacular and high quality product. Lynch has no shadow, just the high bar set by Redmayne. Jackal needs a more reliable partner/opponent to challenge.

Overall, the story is a viable adaptation

Although some things are left open-ended in the main characters’ stories, the character development works, but it can be needed. The locations, Redmaynes different interactions and language and the changing characters really add a special layer to the story. Cheat barometer always runs in the background.

If he does, Se02 is highly anticipated

I look forward to seeing how Se01 ends and how the quality of Se02 is maintained or improved. Lynch is comfortable being less forced and gives a more nuanced performance than Redmayne would try to match.
